Keren is a top level Age Group triathlete with Championship wins and multiple podium finishes across races in the Asia-Pacific, with over 28 years of competitive triathlon, running, cycling and Open Water Swimming experience. In 2016 Keren won the Ironman 70.3 Asia Pacific Age Group Championship (M55 to 59), and the Calfman Japan Duathlon Series as well as the Japan NationalStandard Distance Triathlon Championship for his Age Group in 2011.
He has raced all triathlon distances from Sprints to Iron distance at races in Australia, the mainland USA, Hawaii, Europe, Japan, Asia and the Pacific Islands. Keren has competed at five triathlon World Championships including the 2007 Ironman Kona, the 2008 and 2016 Ironman 70.3 (Clearwater and the Sunshine Coast), and the ITU Age Group Worlds in 2011 (Beijing) and 2013 (London).
A six time Iron distance race finisher, and fifteen Ironman 70.3s and other middle distance triathlons, a copious number of Standard and Sprint distance triathlons, ten marathons, a great many running races from 5km to 30km, and numerous Open Water Swimming and cycling races. Plus he is a five time Boston Marathon qualifier and has entered the 2017 edition of the race.
Keren is the only Tokyo based experienced triathlon and running coach serving the English speaking community, coaching all aspects of swim, bike and run training for beginners, intermediates and experienced triathletes and runners alike. Using his vast experience, Keren provides a triathlon and running coaching service for athletes wanting to start off in the sport, for those aiming to boost their performance, or for seasoned competitors who want to improve their results or qualify for Kona, Boston or other major races.
